TweetDig Privacy Policy

What Data We Store

TweetDig stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's Storage API:

• Search history - Your recent searches (keywords, usernames, date ranges) so you can quickly repeat them
• Preferences - Your settings like default date range
• Usage count - Number of searches today (for free tier limits)

This data is stored locally in your browser and synced across your devices by Chrome if you have Chrome Sync enabled. We never access this data.

What Data We Do NOT Collect

• We do NOT collect personal information
• We do NOT track your browsing activity
• We do NOT use analytics or tracking scripts
• We do NOT send any data to external servers
• We do NOT sell or share any data with third parties

How the Extension Works

When you search for tweets, TweetDig:

1. Takes your search criteria (keywords, username, dates)
2. Builds a Twitter/X advanced search URL
3. Opens that URL in a new browser tab

Your search is sent directly to Twitter/X through your browser - we are not involved in that communication. Twitter/X's own privacy policy applies to your use of their service.

Permissions We Request

• storage - To save your search history and preferences locally
• activeTab - To detect if you're on a Twitter profile page (for auto-fill feature)

We request only the minimum permissions necessary for the extension to function.

Third-Party Services

TweetDig opens Twitter/X search pages in your browser. When you perform a search, you are interacting directly with Twitter/X, and their Privacy Policy applies.

If you upgrade to TweetDig Pro, payment is processed by a third-party payment provider. Their privacy policy will apply to that transaction.

Children's Privacy

TweetDig is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device:

• Access - You can view your data in Chrome's extension storage
• Delete - You can clear your data through the extension's settings or by uninstalling
• Portability - Your data stays with your Chrome profile
